Teachers determine students' success by guiding them in learning and mastering certain competencies. The psychological aspect shows that students generally have different levels of development. So, an educator needs to develop the learning process through strategies that can bring students joy in learning and enhance their understanding. The research focus and research objectives in this study are: (1) To describe the planning of active learning in Islamic Religious Education at the Zaidul Ali Sukowono Tsanawiyah Madrasah, (2) To describe the implementation of active learning in Islamic Religious Education at the Zaidul Ali Sukowono Tsanawiyah Madrasah (3) To describe the evaluation of active learning in Islamic Religious Education learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Zaidul Ali Sukowono. Based on the focus and objectives above, this research uses a qualitative approach, a case study research type. The research subjects use purposive sampling, and data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, and data validity uses triangulation of sources and techniques. This research concluded that in the planning, implementation, and evaluation aspects. The first is planning, which lies in the ATP (Learning Objective Flow) and teaching modules. The second is implementation, in this implementation activity, there are two activities carried out by PAI teachers, namely apperception/introduction and active learning activities. Third is the evaluation/assessment carried out by PAI teachers, namely in the cognitive, psychomotor, affective, and remedial domains.
